The Accomodation The Hotel at Courbefy provides an excellent base to explore the Limousin, Dordogne, and Auvergne. The hotel comprises a dozen chalet-type rooms, with a bar, restaurant, 13th century chapel and several "special" fountains, in the middle of a forest with wonderful views in all directions. |

History Tours |
Natural History The natural history in this area is really quite spectacular, with wild deer and boar roaming throughout the forests, raptors circling in the skies overhead, and a wealth of wild plants and flowers, not to mention the huge range of mushrooms towards the end of the year. |

Traditional Music and Dance The centre of France is overflowing with traditional folk music, characterised by dances like the Bourree, the Mazurka and the Scottische. The instruments are typically hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, melodeon and violin. Hotel Courbefy is a great venue for music and dance workshops, which we plan to host in the coming years. |
Car Club Tours The hotel at Courbefy would also make a great location to base your car club club tour from. We can arrange the accommodation and activities for you, such as treasure hunts and scatter rallies, or simply visits to places of interest.. All you need to do is to get yourself and your cars down here! |

French Country Cuisine The autumn is a great time for collecting mushrooms, truffles and chestnuts, all great specialities of this area, and cooking them up with duck and other local delicacies. We can organise the collecting trips, and Chantal from Hotel Courbefy can show you how to make wonderful terrines, confit du canard and more. Delicious! |
Earth Sciences The area has wide range of geological phenomena to keep the amateur and professional geologist amused. For example, we have the meteorite impact crater at Rochechouart, gold panning in the local rivers,and the volcanoes of the Auvergne. We can even arrange presentations and tours on the geology of the wines in the area. |
WalkingThe geological and natural history and very rural nature of the area make for great walking, with plenty to see along the way. The famous "Chemin Rurale" (country lanes) run all over the forests, linking up the villages and Chateau, circumnavigating the thousands of lakes, and not a car in site! |
Outdoor Pursuits For the more energetic we can organise a whole host of more physical activities such as canoeing, pony-treking, fishing, go-karting, flying, fishing. |

In conjunction with Hotel Courbefy, we can organise residential activity holidays for groups of between 6 and 12 couples. There are a great many interesting activities that we can coordinate for you and your friends, particularly if you have a special interest like medieval history, of the natural world.
